Class Updates Privacy Policy  
Class Updates and its affiliates (collectively “Class Updates”) are committed to protecting the  privacy of its users. Because Class Updates gathers certain types of information about the  users of the Services, we believe you should fully understand the terms and conditions  surrounding the use of the information we collect. The following discloses our information  gathering and dissemination practices for the Services. Please review the following statement  to understand how the information you provide to Class Updates through the Services will be treated.
          1. Information Class Updates collects
You are free to utilize the Services without identifying yourself; however, if you would like to utilize or customize some features of the Services, you must first register with Class Updates. When you register, we will request certain information in order to improve your application use experience. This information better enables us to provide you with content relevant to your interests and provides us with aggregate data that Class Updates uses to improve the Services.
Class Updates gathers information about all users collectively, such as what areas users visit most frequently and what app pages users access most often. We may also collect analytics data, or use third-party analytics tools, to help us measure traffic and usage trends for the Service and to understand more about the demographics of our users. These tools collect information sent by your mobile device, including the pages you visit, your use of third party applications, and other information that assists us in analyzing and improving the Services. Although we do our best to honor the privacy preferences of our visitors, we are not able to respond to Do Not Track signals from your browser at this time.
When you access our Services by or through a mobile device, we may receive or collect and store unique identification numbers associated with your device or our mobile application (including, for example, a UDID, Unique ID for Advertisers (“IDFA”), Google Ad ID, or Windows Advertising ID), mobile carrier, device type, model and manufacturer, mobile device operating system brand and model, phone number, and, depending on your mobile device settings, your geographical location data, including GPS coordinates (e.g. latitude and/or longitude) or similar information regarding the location of your mobile device.
          2. Purposes of data collection & Data Retention
Class Updates requests personal information to operate, maintain and provide to you the features and functionality of the Services and to communicate directly with you and other exchanges of information. Class Updates will not retain the data of it’s users personal information if it does need to collect for longer than the needed timeframe to deliver software services to it’s users. Personal information is not kept in backups and will not be commingled. At the end of a semester a school has a choice to receive any data and if not requested then it will be deleted in a timely manner.
          3. Access to your information
Class Updates offers users the ability to correct or change the information collected during registration. Users may change this information at any time and as often as necessary by choosing the “edit profile” option or other similar functionality offered in the Settings
          4. Children’s privacy
Class Updates does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13 unless and until a school or educational institution has provided appropriate consent and authorization for a student under 13 to use the Services and for Class Updates to collect information from such student. Please contact us if you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 without proper consents so that we may delete such information as soon as possible.
          5. Class Updates privacy policy statement changes and Notices
If Class Updates changes this privacy statement, we will post those changes, so that you will always know what information we gather, how we might use that information, and whether we will disclose it to anyone. In the event of a material change we will contact you via email if we change our privacy policy and send updates with the new changes for you to agree to the new policy terms.
By using the Services and clicking to agree, you signify your consent to the Class Updates Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use the Services. Your continued use of the Services following the posting of changes and agreeing to to these terms will mean you accept those changes.
          6. Third Parties
Currently Class Updates doesn’t rely on third party service providers. If we do contract with any third-party we will only work with those who uphold the same principles as our team does. We do not share student data with third parties because we do not use any third parties.
          7. Successor Entities         
Class Updates will only contract with future companies that are consistent with our privacy principles and we will ensure that any future successors will provide users a clear choice to send any inquiries to a future successor to ensure all integrity is retained.
          8. Security       
We have hired the best penetration testers to run comprehensive tests to ensure a high level of security for our users and the application. We maintain a comprehensive security program that is reinforced and monitors for unauthorized access of our application and data breaches. Through the use of administrative, technological, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information is in compliance with the Education Technology Security Compliance Board ( which we have been approved in their testing to receive COPPA and other security compliance approvals.
